April 22, 2019 is designated as Earth Day this year. With all the talk of climate change, plastic pollution, and reducing our carbon foot print, I thought I would share some ways we can make a small contribution to help save our planet. It takes all of us just doing something small to make a big impact.

-
Reduce, reuse, recycle. Reduce your consumption, reuse what you can, and recycle items that can be made into something else.
-
Conserve water. The less water you use, the less runoff and waste that eventually makes it’s way to our oceans.
-
Plant a tree. As of 2017, 35% of trees cut down around the world are used for paper products. We must learn to reduce and recycle.
-
Use sustainable products. Take your own bags to the grocery, buy a water filter and use water out of the tap. You will help reduce the amount of plastic waste that goes into our landfills daily.
-
Start using LED lightbulbs. They last longer and use less energy.
Pick up a copy of O Magazine this month for more ways you can help save our planet. We observe Earth Day one day a year, but we should really put these things into practice on a daily basis to do our part.
Check out the shop for these reusable bags and this water filter.
Cheers!
