Fall Travel: Top 7 Destinations

Hola Chicas! Tis’ the season to be fall-y! Today, I’m going to show you the absolute best places to travel, where you can fully immerse yourself in all of the fall vibes!

1. Hunter Mountain, NY

Autumn Foliage
Catskills Mountains, NY

Could these colors be anymore gorgeous? Situated two and a half hours outside of New York City, Hunter Mountain Resort offers the perfect Autumnal views. If you’re feeling adventurous, enjoy a Zipline tour through the Catskills. If speed is not your friend, Hunter also offers a leisurely Gondola ride to take in the scenery! Be sure to visit towards the end of October for the optimal fall foliage.

2. Portland, OR

Fall in Portland
Portland, Oregon

Next on our fall tour, we’re heading to the beautiful port-side town of Portland, Oregon. Here you’ll find an abundance of Autumn inspired activities. Head on over to Sauvie Island for pumpkin picking and to immerse yourself in a Corn Maize that is equally as beautifully designed as it is difficult. If you can, try to visit in Mid-October to witness the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta. Watching 1000-pound pumpkins paddling their way across the lake is a sight you will never forget!

3. Salem, MA

Salem, Massachusetts

Alright Witches! Jump on your broomsticks and let’s head back to the East Coast and over to Salem, Massachusetts. Known for the infamous witch trials of the last 1600’s, Salem conjures up the best in haunted activities and witchy vibes. Take the Salem Trolley Tales & Tombstones Tour to fully immerse yourself into Salem’s spooky history. Not here for the haunts? Visit Salem Willows, a 35 acre seaside park that not only has beautiful views, but also has the best popcorn in New England!

4. Denver, CO

Denver, CO

Next, we’re going to the Mile-High city of Denver, CO. Have you ever seen the changing of an Aspen tree? Luckily, Denver has the longest time period to catch the fall foliage and the perfect location, Rocky Mountain National Park.Only here for the BOOze?! Participate in the Spooktacular Brew Run, a charity 5k ending with a delicious pint of beer or head over to Colorado in Mid-October to experience Beer Week, hosting over 100 beer inspired events!

5. Jackson Hole, WY

Jackson Hole, WY? Really? YES! This hidden gem is loved by many of our famous friends like Harrison Ford, Kim K and Brad Pitt. The beautiful scenery, serene nature, and healthy lifestyle are all pulls toward Jackson Hole. Set next to Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole has plenty of offerings for the fall season like skiing, hiking or enjoying a relaxing soak in their natural hotsprings.

6. Glacier Park, MT

John Denver sang about it and it is on our list as a must travel to. Montana offers so much scenery and peaceful nature that you can have that relaxing vacation that you have been needing. While in Montana you must visit Glacier National Park. Within the park there is plenty to do and see but make sure to grab a brew, take a step back, and enjoy the fall colors. Also go enjoy the many fall festivals that Montana has to offer. Festivals not your scene? Go enjoy some time out on the lake with your paddle board or canoe.

7. Napa Valley, CA

Lets get BOOzy in Napa Valley. I adore Napa valley in the fall because there is less congestion and gorgeous scenery. The weather is also perfect with a slight chilly morning and comfortable afternoon.  Napa is a treat year round but there are somethings that make fall very special. One is the Great Grape Stomp hosted by Conn Creek Winery in Saint Helen. You can also join in on all of the fabulous harvest parties.

You will be FALLing for all these places. Make sure to let me know which ones are your fave. Where shall we go next?

I bring the best of life over 50 to you and all your girls. I’m a wife, a mother to college kids, and your new, fun online friend. I am going to show you a fantastic time while you are here.
