With the lovely California weather Quickers, CMQ ventured out to the Coachella Valley, not for the music but for the art exhibition called Desert X. This spring the Coachella desert became a canvas with a variety of different art exhibitions. Here at CMQ we became so interested that we decided to pack up and head out so that CMQ could share the experience with you!

After hours of driving, the first exhibit we viewed was Mirage by Doug Aitken. When arriving at the parking area you could see Mirage far off into the distance. As we walked a bit closer to what seemed like a large mirrored home, we were able to get close enough to where we could finally see our own reflections just a few feet away from the glistening in the walls of the San Jacinto Mountains. *see the Vimeo video above for an entire view of the Mirage

Desert X has a total of 16 different installations. In the slide show above are the exhibits we enjoyed the most! It took us a few hours to do but we enjoyed the beautiful landscapes of Palm Springs as we traveled along our adventure.
In our slide show you can see the titles of each piece followed by the artists name. We can not wait to see how you all colorize these coloring sheets! Go to your CMQ Member account to print the Desert X coloring pages and most importantly enjoy with color!
